Alabama REALTORS name Jeremy Walker Governmental Affairs Director

MONTGOMERY, AL. Alabama REALTORS' CEO Barry Mask has named Jeremy S. Walker as the Government Affairs Director for the Alabama Association of Realtors.
Mr. Walker comes to the Realtors from the law firm of Haskell, Slaughter, Young & Rediker where he worked primarily out of the firm’s Montgomery office since 2007.He represented clients in state and local government matters, insurance defense, and governmental affairs, civil litigation matters, and white-collar criminal defense.
He served as legal counsel to the Alabama Senate Banking and Insurance Committee and legal counsel to the Educational Building Authority of the City of Montgomery.
Mr. Walker has represented clients before state regulatory agencies, state licensing boards, state and federal courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the 11th Circuit, and the National Collegiate Athletic Association Division I Committee on Infractions.
His professional associations include Alabama State Bar, American Bar Association, Hugh Maddox Inn of Court and the Montgomery County Bar Association.
Mr. Walker obtained his Juris Doctorate from Faulkner University, Thomas Goode Jones School in May of 2007. He is a 2003 graduate of the University of Alabama with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and Business Administration. While at the University of Alabama he was an Athletic Scholarship Recipient in football from 1999-2003.
Prior to joining Haskell Slaughter, Mr. Walker clerked for the Honorable Circuit Judge John B. Bush, of the 19th Judicial Circuit of Alabama. He attends First United Methodist Church in Montgomery where is a member of the Young Adult Leadership Council. He is active in numerous civic and community affairs.
