MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Alabama Association of REALTORS® (AAR) honored Liesl Schutt, of Auburn, with the Arthur B. Pope Education Achievement Award at the AAR 2011 Leadership Conference at Embassy Suites Hotel.
Established in 1984, the Arthur B. Pope Award recognizes an AAR member for his or her contribution to and participation in education programs and activities. The award is named after Arthur B. Pope, from Mobile, as he worked tirelessly to improve the professional standards and education development of REALTORS® in Alabama.
Schutt became a member of AAR in 2003 and is the Broker for Executive Group Real Estate in Auburn. In 2010, she earned the Short Sales and Foreclosures certification, At Home with Diversity Certification, Certified Residential Specialist designation and Certified New Home Specialist designation. Schutt is not only committed to her education but to her community.
She served as chairman’s council for the Auburn Chamber of Commerce, director of the Home Run Derby for the Dixie Youth World Series and currently serves on the FACES Board of Directors and Auburn Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors.
Jim Lawrence, 2010 Education Trustees chair, presented Schutt with this honor.
“Liesl has shown great commitment to education by completing so many designations and certificates in just one year,” said Lawrence. “She truly deserves this award.”
The Alabama Association of REALTORS® is the voice of real estate in Alabama. AAR is the trade association for real estate professionals who work in the residential, commercial property management, resort and appraisal markets.
