Montgomery, Ala.- The Alabama Association of REALTORS® (AAR) installed Robert Scott as 2010 President-Elect during the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) convention in San Diego, Calif.

Scott is president and owner of RE/MAX Advantage Real Estate in Birmingham, Ala. During his 31 years as a REALTOR®, Scott became 2007 REALTOR® of the Year for the Birmingham Area Association of REALTORS® (BAR), a graduate of the 2007 Leadership AAR class and served on the NAR Risk Management Committee.

Charles Penn, Association Executive for BAR, commented on Scott’s dedication to not only the real estate industry but also the community.

“For more than 32 years, Robert Scott has been a REALTOR® and an Association leader, well respected for his knowledge. Robert volunteers countless hours to serve the community through good causes such as Kid One Foundation and he has traveled the state to serve as official auctioneer at many local ARPAC fund raisers,” said Penn. “He will represent AAR well.”

The Alabama Association of REALTORS® is the trade association for real estate professionals in Alabama, who work in the residential, commercial, property management, resort and appraisal markets.
