Over 150 Alabama REALTORS® attended the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) Annual Conference in sunny Orlando, Florida on November 11 – 13, 2022.  Hurricane Nicole threatened to ruin all the fun, but she cleared the area in time for 12,000 members from over 60 countries to arrive. Members enjoyed networking, education sessions and visiting exhibitors at the EXPO.

To kick things off, Alabama REALTORS® President Wes Grant welcomed members from across the state and region at the Alabama Welcome Reception. Later that night, NAR installed the 2023 Leadership Team, which will be led by President Kenny Parcell.  Other conference highlights included hearing from NAR Chief Economist Lawrence Yun on his outlook on the residential housing market and commercial real estate (presentation can be found here). Other Keynote speakers included Political Strategist Karl Rove, Best-Selling Author Jay Shetty, and Venus Williams.

Alabama REALTORS® Treasurer Senia Johnson was honored for graduating from NAR’s 2022 Leadership Academy. Congratulations on your hard work and dedication, Senia!

Finally, the NAR Board of Directors met and deliberated on Governance and MLS recommendations for consideration.  Alabama has 10 representatives on the NAR Board of Directors who make decisions on behalf of all REALTORS® from across the country.
