December has shown a slight decline in statewide REALTOR® membership at 19,048¹, however, this is an increase of 720 members and a 3.93% increase since the end of December last year. 

Overall year-over-year growth, which previously included all affiliate members, experienced a slight decline in December of 2023, with a decrease of 162 members, representing a 0.83% decrease since the end of December last year. Despite this dip, membership remains steady at 19,312¹.

Alabama REALTORS® is experiencing a steady increase in membership due to substantial growth at six out of twenty-three boards with double-digit growth at three of those boards. 

According to the NAR Membership Report², NAR has a total of 1,554,604 members. For states in the medium category, Alabama had the third highest year-over-year membership growth for a total of 1.75%.
