Growing up as the youngest of five — surrounded by all older brothers — Tina Terry had to quickly learn how to be a go-getter. 

She’s carried this early lesson with her throughout her life, as her nine years as a real estate professional have culminated into her recognition as this year’s Alabama REALTOR® of the Year award recipient. 

“I am absolutely humbled,” she said. “I never expected this in any way. To receive such an incredible honor after only nine years in the industry has left me truly speechless.”

Terry credits her fast-paced career success to her vast professional involvements at the local, state and national level, and her commitment to giving back to her community. She’s served in many capacities with Alabama REALTORS® and the National Association of REALTORS®, recently attending the NAR NXT conference November 8-10. 

In her community, Terry is a champion for numerous causes. As part of RE/MAX, she donates a portion of each closed transaction to the Children’s Miracle Network, a key brokerage partner. She also supports local organizations including FACES, the Carnegie Visual Arts Center, CASA of North Alabama and The Circle Ranch.

In all that she does, Terry simply likes to serve others. As a leader in the industry, she strives to build strong relationships with her peers and works with the welfare of her fellow REALTORS® in mind.

“I truly love people,” she said. “There’s no better feeling than knowing I’ve been able to make someone else feel good.”

When it comes to real estate, helping families achieve their dream of homeownership is Terry’s driving motivation.

“When you witness a family achieving what they thought was impossible — the American dream of homeownership — it’s powerful,” she said. “The joy and excitement are overwhelming, and I feel so privileged to be part of that journey.”
