The Alabama Economic and Real Estate Report is a monthly statistics report produced by the Alabama Association of REALTORS^® and their team of economists. The numbers and figures in this report are drawn from numerous government and proprietary data sources and represent best estimates at the time of release. As new data emerges, Alabama REALTORS® may, from time to time, update these figures to reflect more recent information.

November 2024 Report 

• Alabama had 5,168 home sales in November,an increase of 5.9% month-over-month and a decrease of 2.5% year-over-year, breaking a trend of three consecutive months of declining sales.
• The median sales price rose by $6,093 from last year to $221,111. This is an increase of 0.4% month-over-month and 2.8% year-over-year.
• The sold volume in November was $1.24 billion, marking a 19.2% increase from the previous month and of 2.48% from last November.
• The 19,272 active listings at the end of November represent a 0.30% monthly decrease and an increase of 28.0% compared to the 15,055 one year ago.
• The 416 foreclosures in November represent a 3.7% monthly decrease and a 22.2% annual decrease.
